A highlight of the 72^nd Vienna Doctors' Ball: the casino for a good cause, where our ball guests can try their luck and do good at the same time. The casino is run by experienced croupiers and offers a selection of classic games from roulette, blackjack to poker. Ball guests can not only win great prizes but also make a valuable contribution to a good cause: the proceeds will be donated directly to this year's fundraising organisation, the Autonomous Women's Shelters Association and the StoP project.

She prefers to sing and write about how it is still done today: entering into real relationships and which paths you have to choose to arrive at yourself! Her abstract artworks, which she creates with acrylic, watercolour and acrylic markers on canvas and paper, are bursting with colour, energetic, powerful and calming at the same time. "My aspiration as an artist is honesty. Always has been. To show oneself with all facets. That's what I want to encourage. Paolo Bortolotti started with 24 varieties in his first Viennese gelateria at Mariahilferstrasse 94 in 1991. The first ice cream parlor has long since grown into three: in 1993, the ice cream specialist opened at number 22, and in 2007 at number 66. Each has its own ice cream production - and its regulars! There has also been a Bortolotti Café in the C&A for several years - with a wonderfully quiet guest garden. Paolo Bortolotti offers at least 34 types of ice cream. Depending on the season, there are often many more, up to 120 flavors!

The Josephinum was founded in 1785 by Emperor Joseph II as a medical-surgical military academy and is the most important example of classical architecture as well as an important testimony to the Enlightenment in Austria. It is the historic gateway to the Medical University of Vienna and houses the collections on the history of medicine. Today it presents its rich collection as a museum. On display are around 1,200 wax anatomical models from the 18th century as well as the history of Joseph II, the first and second Viennese schools of medicine up to the present day. Viennese Medical School to the darkest sides of our country under National Socialism. Today's high-tech medicine is also on display. It is an important place for exchange, teaching and research in the field of history and ethics in medicine.

I am very pleased that the Doctors' Ball 2024 will be dedicated to such an important and unfortunately current topic "violence within the family" and will thus financially support the project "StoP districts without partner violence" of the association Autonomous Austrian Women's Shelters. For the past 10 years, I have made it my goal with my company "Lama Lady" to offer valuable experiences with llamas and alpacas for companies, teams and private individuals, in which the proper handling of the animals is demonstrated. Llamas and alpacas are so-called "distance animals" and show their individual limits in a clear and friendly way. They are not animals that let themselves be touched immediately. In this way, our clients learn how to grow together as a team with mutual mindfulness and respect. In the human-animal relationship, too, we unfortunately often have to observe violent manners, but also training methods. Yet a human-animal relationship based on trust and respect is a touching and wonderful enrichment in our lives.
Therefore, it is also a great concern for me to be able to participate in the sponsoring of material prizes with vouchers for my walks. It is important not to look away and to notice the signs of violence in one's environment and to take responsibility in order to protect people preventively or afterwards.
